M@gnetpro 2

M@gnetpro is a platform for the creation and operation of web applications, mobile applications and e-shops. Everything is combined in one system with lower investments in the interconnection of company systems.

The original magnetpro developed since 1998 is a typical representative of a client-server architecture where the client only displays data received from the server. This architecture is suitable for static websites, or for websites with limited dynamic content and interactivity.

New magnetpro2 - reorientation from the creation of custom modules to the integration of external web services. From an architectural point of view, this is a great step that allows us to focus more on processes and not develop services that have already been developed and function well.

Integration of third-party services

The integration of external services is an essential feature. That is why we have carefully selected a set of IT services for magnetpro2 that are integrated into the functionality of the system. The connection of the services to magnetpro2 is realized by means of connectors that abstract from the service interface and can be replaced if necessary without the necessity to intervene with the system core of magnetpro2.

Data aggregation

The non-relational MongoDB database and the whole magnetpro2 ecosystem make it possible to use the system as a data aggregator. Magnetpro2 can be used to bridge multiple systems. Through the system of communication gateways, communication with external systems via their API is possible.

Business intelligence

In the magnetpro2 system, business intelligence is based on two methods:

The first is based on the integrated tracking of changes in the system using Event Sourcing technology, which ensures that information about who made changes, what changes were made and all related actions can always be seen in the system. This kind of tracking is important for future data analysis.
The second involves the tracking of user behaviour on the website, which we support through analytics tools from Google.

Content Management System

Content Management System (CMS) for content management is an integral part of magnetpro2. Through the CMS, you can create, modify or delete web pages, modify their structure and content.

Magnetpro2 is a component-oriented system - each page is composed of components that are parameterized exactly to customer requirements.

Most frequently used components:

Text component, showing a simple text message (eg copywriting text, introduction, motto, etc.). This component can also be used generally to display any HTML code, including tags that support AngularJS.
Articles, text component extended with additional functions that display a list and details of articles with support functions (sorting, paging, infinite scroll, etc.).
WebMenu - category and menu editor, tree view with item options: add, edit, scroll and delete
Photo gallery - unlike the old system, it is not handled as a separate component, but is part of each article (text). It is up to the user to add images to the article (s) and create a gallery.
Interactive form - a classic user form used to implement eg a contact form

In magnetpro2, we tried to combine the most modern technologies used on modern websites. One of the most attractive features of web applications created with magnetpro2 is the cleanness of the Single Page Applications (SPA) - browsing the website is more enjoyable for users, and transitions to other content are not interrupted by constantly having to refresh the page. This is also related to technology that we have integrated into the new system that supports simple and intuitive website browsing.

Efficient development of magnetpro2

A virtual development environment that allows each developer to work independently on new functionalities without conflicting situations is the cornerstone of the new magnetpro2 system. Along with the new system features, automated test kits are created that not only test new features, but also ensure that kernel changes do not cause errors in another part of the system.

In terms of project management, the structures of the database, files, libraries, logs, and repositories of each project are separated. Each project has separate databases for storing project data, files, and events. Each project is built on its own version of the magnetpro2 kernel and contains its own versions of libraries.
